Peirce School Library Mission Statement

The Peirce Library Media Program enables students to find, evaluate, use and synthesize information, encourages an appreciation of literature, and stimulates intellectual curiosity. Focusing on the research process, the library media program integrates classroom instruction and curriculum in a standards based environment. Working closely with the instructional technology specialists, we strive to ensure that every student is information literate and proficient in the use of current and emerging technologies. Through diverse learning opportunities, we promote a culture of life-long learners prepared to actively participate in the evolving global society.
